Terms of Use
Auracle is a non-custodial, open interface to Phoenix's perpetual futures markets on Solana. This page describes what Auracle is, what it isn't, and what you're acknowledging by using it. It's written in plain language because the principle of this project is transparency, not legalese.
What Auracle is
Auracle is a software interface. It does three things:
First, it routes orders to Phoenix's matching engine on Solana via the Phoenix Flight builder-code program. Phoenix is the source of truth for matching, margin, liquidation, and settlement. Auracle does not match orders. Auracle does not hold collateral. Auracle does not stand between buyer and seller. Your wallet signs every transaction; Phoenix executes it on-chain.
Second, Auracle adds a metadata layer on top of routed flow: sentiment, conviction, holding intent, theses, Truth Bonds, Choirs, Rescues, Sentiment Accuracy, Weather Reports. These are coordinative and editorial features. They do not change who owns a position or who bears its risk.
Third, Auracle publishes aggregate crowd-state as a public data product: Weather Reports, leaderboards, sentiment indices. This data is intentionally public. It may be displayed, embedded, referenced by third parties, indexed by search engines, and used for downstream research, including training of AI models and dataset construction. Participating in Auracle's metadata layer is participating in that public corpus.
What Auracle is not
Auracle is not a broker, dealer, exchange, clearinghouse, custodian, or investment adviser. It doesn't take possession of funds at any point. It doesn't produce recommendations. It doesn't offer to buy or sell anything on your behalf. The website is a UI; the protocol is Phoenix.
Auracle does not perform know-your-customer checks, does not collect government identification, and does not require disclosure of any personal information beyond what you choose to share. Your Solana wallet is your identity. If your wallet is compromised, anything done from your wallet on Auracle is treated as your action.
If you sign in with email rather than connecting an existing wallet, a fresh non-custodial Solana wallet is provisioned for you by Magic Labs, our embedded-wallet provider. The private key is generated and held in Magic's secure enclave, never by Auracle. You can export that private key at any time from the Magic dashboard and import it into Phantom, Solflare, or any other Solana wallet. Auracle treats an email-provisioned wallet identically to a Phantom-connected one once it's connected.
You participate on your own volition
Auracle is a permissionless interface. There is no application, no whitelist, no approval. You connect your wallet, you read what the interface offers, and you participate in the parts you want to participate in. That decision belongs entirely to you.
That includes the responsibility to know whether your local rules permit you to do this. Some jurisdictions restrict or prohibit retail leveraged trading. Some require licenses to offer it. Auracle does not perform that check for you. If your local rules forbid you from participating, you should not. That call is yours; Auracle does not make it on your behalf.
Every mechanic is opt-in
Auracle's social and reputation features are individually optional:
Sentiment metadata. Every order can carry a sentiment vector, a primary emotion, a one-sentence thesis, and a holding intent. Sharing it is free. You can also pay a five-basis-point opacity fee and submit an order without metadata; the row will show as anonymous depth.
Truth Bonds. You can stake collateral against a stated claim: a duration, a catalyst, a stop. If the claim resolves against you under the publicly stated rule, the bond is forfeited. Auracle cannot reverse a forfeiture. Posting a bond is a commitment by design.
Conviction Refresh. Every open position carries a public conviction signal that decays over time. Refreshing it keeps your visibility, weight in Weather Reports, and rebate eligibility intact. Letting it lapse reduces them. The underlying Phoenix position is unaffected.
Choirs.A Choir is a multisig-pooled trading group governed by member votes. Contributing funds to a Choir transfers them to the Choir's multisig. The Choir's decisions bind all contributors. If the Choir trades into losses, contributors share those losses pro rata.
Anti-Liquidation Rescue. Savers can pledge USDC to a position approaching liquidation, in exchange for a share of any recovery upside. Pledged funds are committed to the rescued position; if it liquidates anyway, pledged funds are lost in whole or part.
Auracle Rebates. The opacity-fee pool is distributed periodically to users whose Sentiment Accuracy meets a published threshold. Rebates are not guaranteed, not yield, not interest, and not promised. Pool size and eligibility may change.
If a mechanic doesn't fit you, you don't engage it. The protocol still works.
Fees
Auracle charges one basis point on routed volume, collected on-chain by the Phoenix Flight builder-code program. Orders that opt out of sentiment metadata pay an additional five-basis-point opacity fee. Both are visible in the order summary before you confirm.
What Auracle stores about you, and what it doesn't
Auracle reads your Solana wallet address when you connect and uses it to attribute activity. It reads on-chain activity associated with that wallet from public Solana and Phoenix sources. It stores anything you author through the metadata layer: sentiment payloads, theses, handles, Choir membership, votes, pledges, refresh history.
Auracle does not collect, by default: email addresses, names, dates of birth, government ID, phone numbers, photos, or biometric data. If you type any personal information into a handle, profile, or thesis field, it is public; assume permanent disclosure.
Anything you write to Solana is permanent. Auracle cannot reverse it, redact it, or expire it. If you would not want a record of a trade, position, bond, pledge, vote, or thesis to exist forever, do not write it to a public blockchain.
Off-chain data (the metadata layer) is stored on Convex. The application uses transient IP addresses for rate limiting and a small set of browser-local storage entries (your session token, sound preference, attestation flag). It does not run third-party ad cookies and does not participate in cross-site tracking. If error tracking (Sentry) or product analytics (PostHog) are enabled, both anonymize where possible and are disclosed here.
The data is public on purpose
Auracle's thesis is that crowd-state is a legitimate public good. Weather Reports, sentiment aggregates, accuracy scores, conviction signals, and Choir mythologies are designed to be readable, embeddable, and referenced. If your wallet is associated with public Auracle activity, expect that activity to be visible to other users, to third-party indexers, and to downstream consumers including AI training pipelines. Participation in the metadata layer constitutes consent to that publicness.
If you want to trade without contributing to the public corpus, place opaque orders (the five-bp fee exists for exactly this purpose).
The smart-contract reality
Auracle depends on the Phoenix matching engine, the Phoenix Flight builder-code program, the Solana network, your wallet software, and any auxiliary on-chain programs in the stack. Each of those is software written by humans. Each can contain bugs that have not yet been found. Smart-contract failure, network outage, oracle dislocation, and wallet compromise are all real possibilities. Auracle cannot underwrite their behavior.
For the full enumeration of these risks, read the Risk Acknowledgment. Connecting a wallet to Auracle is acknowledging it.
Disclaimer
Auracle is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. There is no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Auracle, its contributors, and the infrastructure it depends on are not liable for trading losses, network outages, smart-contract failures, wallet compromise, or third-party conduct. Nothing on the interface is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell anything.
If you don't want to participate
Don't. Disconnect your wallet and close the tab. There is nothing to cancel, no subscription to end, no account to delete. Your on-chain history on Phoenix and Solana remains where it is (Auracle does not control it), but no further action will be attributed to you through this interface. If you want your handle and authored off-chain metadata removed, the Convex deployment can be asked to delete it; on-chain history is permanent.
Changes
Auracle is built in public. Material changes to this page will be surfaced on first wallet connect after the change, so attestation can be renewed. The Last Updated date at the top is the source of truth.
